I’m busy packing for the trip to Cairns to attend the The World Federation of Sleep Research and Sleep Medicine Societies (WFSRSMS) conference in early September. The meeting brings together the worlds leading basic and clinical sleep researchers, clinicians, sleep technologists, students and industry.

This is the WFSRSMS’s first quadrennial congress in the Asia-Pacific region and a fantastic scientific programme is planned with plenary lectures, symposia, thematic poster sessions and a range of satellite meetings including the International Symposium on Sleep and Breathing.

This will be the first world symposium for me although I normally attend the Australasian symposium each year as it is not only a great way to stay up with what is happening in the world of sleep but also is an excellent way to see new products and met people who would not normally visit us here in Dunedin.

Full services are available while I am away and my staff will be despatching product each day. The 0800 number will still reach me and emails will be cleared as normal. Don’t be frightened to contact us as you need.

Finally our new look website is also on line and we are working towards developing new features over the next few months to make it more useful for you.
