Sleepapneoa Services - Who are we |
Normally when we sleep, muscles hold our airway open. If these muscles relax, the airway can become narrowed or even completely closed. The closure of the airway, called Obstructive Sleep Apnoea causes the affected person to wake up, over and over through out the night, sometimes hundreds of times. Untreated Obstructive Sleep Apnoea may lead to serious health problems such as high blood pressure, heart attack and stroke, memory loss, poor concentration, morning headaches and sexual dysfunction. Sleepapnoea Services specialise in the treatment of the illness and provide professional solutions and advice.
Malcolm Macleod
In February 1995, Malcolm was diagnosed with sleep apnoea and ever since has had a passionate interest in this sleep problem. He has talked to many people about his experience and this interest culminated in setting up Sleepapnoea Services Limited in 2002 to supply CPAP equipment.
Malcolm’s knowledge of sleep apnoea is an accumulation of personal experience in managing his own health, involvement in development of new equipment with manufacturers, taking part in scientific studies with health professionals and daily involvement with users of CPAP and other sleep equipment. He shares this wealth of experience generously with all and anyone who shows an interest in the disease is welcome to contact him.
Malcolm is extremely passionate about helping people with sleep apnoea. He has attended several conferences and seminars over the years.
